Florida Hospital Flagler begins intensivist program

Florida Hospital Flagler has begun an intensivist program to coordinate ICU care. Medical director Dr. Miren Schinco said an important part of care delivery using an intensivist model is having standardized protocols based on evidence-based medicine that can improve care and reduce lengths of stay, which she called "one of the hallmarks of quality" for a hospital.
