Need for blood increases following plant explosion in La.

LifeShare Blood Centers, the blood supplier for Baton Rouge General Medical Center, said it is addressing an increased demand for blood following an explosion at a chemical plant in Geismar, La. Blood components from other cities were shipped in, and the blood center issued a call for donations.
