New nanoneedle technique could lead to better skin treatments

A study of skin-barrier functions by researchers at the University of Bath in the UK could lead to new skin treatments and products. Using "nanoneedle" technology, scientists are probing the structure of skin to detect changes made by aging, skin disease and environmental factors. "We strongly believe that this new technique will find many interesting applications in biology, nano medicine and material science," said researcher Sergey Gordeev.
