U.S. to add support for Syrian rebels after news of chemical weapon use

Obama administration officials said that the U.S. will boost the "scope and scale" of military support for those who oppose the Syrian government. The news comes after a report that the government deployed chemical weapons against rebels that have been trying to overthrow them, thus crossing the "red line" that President Barack Obama set forth. On Thursday, The Associated Press reported that Obama approved sending arms to the rebels.
