With pre-orders, AT&T's iPhone 3G S stock is already gone

AT&T will not officially begin selling the iPhone 3G S until next week, but the carrier's stores are already sold out based on pre-orders AT&T has taken for the Apple smartphone, according to an Internet site. Apple will still sell the upgraded iPhones at its retail outlets, but industry observers say the quick sellout of AT&T's inventory is a probable sign that iPhone supplies will be tight on its launch date Friday.
