TDEL tech may lower hi-def costs

The Canadian technology firm iFire reportedly is developing a new form of high-definition screen called TDEL (thick film dielectric electroluminescent) as a rival to LCD and plasma screens. The company believes it can build a thinner screen flat-panel TV set that could retail for less than $1,000.
