Rockwell Collins hopes to speed acceptance of UAVs in shared airspace

Rockwell Collins on Monday launched an e-book effort that it hopes will help to speed the integration of manned and unmanned aircraft in the same airspace. "The integration of manned and unmanned is happening faster than most people can imagine; the new aerospace age of the future is truly automation," a company executive said at the Paris Air Show. According to Rockwell Collins, the industry has already moved from three-person crews to two-person crews, and the zero-person crew is simply a natural extension of that evolution.
