Don't let a negative workplace get you down

If you get a job in a workplace that has been hit with layoffs or budget cuts, you can deal with "demoralized" co-workers by volunteering to help them with their workload and staying neutral in office spats, experts say. "Whatever you do, don't join in on the negative talk," says Margaret Morford, president of HR Edge.
