European Commission unveils revised guidelines on device classification

The European Commission has released a revised version of its guidance on medical device classification, covering joint replacements and devices with human blood derivatives, among other products, in accordance with the Medical Devices Directive. The updated guidance includes rule changes that have come up in the past several years.
