Health reform will affect dental coverage, but details are hazy

Dental plan sponsors, brokers and other parties will feel the effect of health reform, but it is still not clear exactly what the changes will be. Dental carriers can at least take comfort in knowing some challenges have been averted, according to NADP's executive director, Eveyln Ireland. "The [Senate] bill as passed is much better for dental coverage than the House bill would have been," Ireland said, adding that under the House version "after five years, there would have been no option to maintain even a portion of the market as it is today."
