Regulator says Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac must delist

The New York Stock Exchange recently notified the Federal Housing Finance Agency that Fannie Mae is not meeting listing standards. The notification prompted the regulator to order Fannie and Freddie Mac to delist from the NYSE. "A voluntary delisting at this time simply makes sense and fits with the goal of a conservatorship to preserve and conserve assets," said Edward DeMarco, acting director of the regulator.
