64.5K y3 of concrete used for $465M Cleveland Convention Center project

Cleveland's new convention center opened to the public last Friday. Work on the $465 million, 1-million-square-foot complex, which included the Global Center for Health Innovation, was managed by Turner Construction, and involved 168 subcontractors. The project features "a 12.5-acre landscaped green roof" and used up about 64,500 cubic yards of concrete and 12,175 tons of structural steel. Turner says the project was completed under budget and three months ahead of schedule.
