Bellingham Food Bank teams with farms to supply fresh food

Seven produce farmers in Washington's Whatcom County have contracted with the Bellingham Food Bank on a program that provides fresh produce to the county's low-income residents. The food bank works with farmers in the off season to determine which crops they'll need, set fair prices and pay the contract price upfront, writes agricultural programs coordinator Max Morange.
