DISH tests fixed wireless broadband with nTelos in rural Va.

DISH Network and rural wireless carrier nTelos have begun a trial of fixed wireless broadband in the Blue Ridge Mountains area of Virgina with 2.5 GHz technology that has attained download speeds from 20 to 50 megabits per second, the companies said last week. The partners have captured the 4G signals using exterior antennas as opposed to previous fixed wireless trials that deployed antennas indoors.
