Sprint files suit to stop Clearwire, DISH tie-up

Sprint Nextel is extending its fight for Clearwire to the Delaware Chancery Court by filing suit against DISH Network, claiming the satellite provider's $4.40-a-share bid violates Clearwire investors' governance rights. DISH said it was reviewing the lawsuit. In its complaint, Sprint alleged that DISH's offer was coercive and infringed on Clearwire's charter and an equity holders' agreement that spells out the legal rights of Sprint and its fellow strategic investors. Clearwire's board of directors has endorsed DISH's latest bid.
