Taco Bell to sponsor MLB

Major League Baseball has signed Taco Bell as its first national fast-food sponsor since 1987, despite a pitch from Omnicom Group's OMD to broker a sponsorship deal for McDonald's. MLB turned down the McDonald's bid in part because the league has an existing agreement with PepsiCo, and McDonald's serves only Coca-Cola.
