Blogger unravels the RIAA paradox

The Recording Industry Association of America, in seeking a performance tax on music played on the radio, has compared radio play to piracy. Yet, in calling for an investigation into a 100-watt high school station that reportedly took part in brief boycott of certain artists in 2007, RIAA-backed organization musicFIRST seems to be saying that choosing not to "pirate" certain artists is a federal offense, according to Techdirt blogger Mike Masnick.
