The farm bill up for debate in the House could be vetoed by the White House because of a proposed cut of $20 billion over the next decade in the food stamp program. "The bill makes unacceptable deep cuts in (food stamps), which could increase hunger among millions of Americans who are struggling to make ends meet, including families with children and senior citizens," the Obama administration said. The House may begin debate on the bill as early as Wednesday.
