Group updates AUC for amyloid imaging

The Amyloid Imaging Task Force, a joint initiative of the Alzheimer's Association and SNMMI, has published updated amyloid imaging appropriate use criteria in The Journal of Nuclear Medicine. The update includes criteria for Alzheimer's disease expertise, discussion on documenting the need for amyloid imaging and more. The paper also highlights the need for and examples of physician and patient education to improve understanding of dementia, amyloid imaging and appropriate use in the clinical setting.
