Majority of U.S. Senate now co-sponsors of ENDA

Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del., indicated this week he will become the 51st senator to co-sponsor the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would ban employment discrimination nationwide based on LGBT status. But even though a majority of senators are now seemingly ready to support the legislation, a 60-vote threshold to end debate on the bill remains.
