Record U.S. soybean crop to extend surplus

U.S. soybean stockpiles will reach about 7.29 million metric tons by August 2014 -- an increase of 116 percent -- according to analysts' estimates. These estimates signal a rebound after 2012's drought caused prices to rise to $17.89 per bushel. Meanwhile, soybean growers Argentina and Brazil saw record yields early this year, and Brazil is expected to harvest 85 million metric tons in February.
