Remedy greens problems without a full-blown renovation

Several years ago, courses that were underperforming were often completely renovated, but for most golf courses today, that big of a financial investment isn't feasible. Golf course architect Bob Lohmann says small changes to greens, such as slit draining in highly saturated areas, can have a big impact on greens quality without draining the budget.
