Report projects slower growth in health care costs next year

Health care costs in 2014 are projected to grow by 6.5%, lower than the double-digit increases after the turn of the century and down from the 2013 estimate of 7.5%. Consumer behavior and penalties for hospitals with high readmission rates are playing a role in the slower growth, the PricewaterhouseCoopers report noted.
