A Louisiana parish will offer Advanced Placement courses for the first time next year in European history, physics and English language and composition. To help teachers prepare, the district this summer will begin training teachers in the new college-preparatory classes. "Those will require some changes in the way the classes are taught, so this training is important for the teachers to know exactly what the expectations will be," said Superintendent Paul Nelson.
