High-end suites are gaining momentum as wealthy families from around the world are choosing them for their stays, according to Elite Traveler. The magazine said the $30,000-a-night Royal Suite at Hotel Plaza Athénée in Paris leads its list of 101 top suites in the world. "It makes sense to see luxury hotels with higher percentages of suites. The net worth of the world's 200,000 wealthiest families increased by $566 billion last year ... . They tend to travel with an entourage, and the fastest way for luxury hotels to increase their profits is to sell their suites more often," the magazine's Tova Syrowicz says.
