Frito-Lay commits to natural gas fueling infrastructure

Frito-Lay of North America is opening its first natural gas fueling station in Wisconsin with plans to open seven more across the country and acquire 208 natural gas-powered vehicles in a move that will make its fleet more fuel-efficient. "When all 208 C.N.G. tractors are in service, Frito-Lay will eliminate 7,863 metric tons of carbon emissions, the equivalent of over 1,125 cars annually," said Mike O’Connell, the company's senior director for fleet operations.
