Though many travelers rely on their mobile phones to make calls, having a phone in a hotel room is still an important security measure -- and they're not going away. "[Guestroom phones] have become a communication device for on-property communication and a security device for the hotel. The natural utilization of the product has changed since 10 years ago when people were using it for long-distance calls. Cell phones pretty much supplanted that," said Steve Bettencourt, Inn-Phone's director of business development.
