Medical homes and ACOs gather steam in health care, survey finds

More than 50% of providers responding to an eClinicalWorks survey said they are part of an accountable care organization, patient-centered medical home or other nontraditional care model, while about a third of those who have not yet joined such programs plan to do so over the next three years. Key drivers of participation in such programs were better patient outcomes and improved use of resources, the survey notes.
