Natural colors are becoming more affordable and available

The cost and performance gaps between natural and synthetic colorings is closing rapidly, says Chr. Hansen, global bioscience developer of natural ingredients for the food, pharmaceutical, nutritional and agricultural industries. While natural colors may lag behind synthetics in performance in all uses, in some applications the gap has "closed completely," said Kurt Seagrist, senior vice president for colors.
