New Unix server processors set for August unveiling

Fujitsu, IBM and Oracle will all present details on forthcoming processors for Unix servers at the annual Hot Chips conference in August. Unix servers are highly profitable business lines for IBM and Oracle, which is why those companies continue to fund reduced-instruction set computer processors for those servers, according to Nathan Brookwood of Insight 64.
