Report: Weather events to worsen if climate-change pace continues

Many parts of the world will experience more extreme weather events if climate change continues to intensify at its current pace, according to a World Bank report. "This new report outlines an alarming scenario for the days and years ahead -- what we could face in our lifetime," World Bank President Jim Yong Kim said in a statement. "Urgent action is needed to not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but also to help countries prepare for a world of dramatic climate and weather extremes."
