Site of former Va. furniture store to become home to a Hilton property

The Arlington County Board in Virginia gave Maryland-based firm B.F. Saul Co. clearance to build a Hilton Homewood Suites extended-stay hotel on the site of the former Colony House Furniture store. The project, envisioned as an art deco-style building with eight stories and 168 rooms, "will provide more hotel options in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor and will bring new life and attractive architecture to this intersection," said Walter Tejada, Arlington County Board chairman.
