Study links thyroid hormone levels to risk of death

Researchers looked at data on 3,885 men aged 70 to 89 without diagnoses of thyroid disease and found that those with higher free thyroxine levels were more likely to die from any cause than those with lower levels. The findings were presented at a meeting of the Endocrine Society.
