Survey: 90% say schools should help fight childhood obesity

A recent survey found that 90% of people want schools to play a role in preventing childhood obesity and 60% say schools should be leaders in the effort. The results of the survey, conducted on behalf of Kaiser Permanente, also found that 80% of respondents support new federal standards for school meals and most said they support education on healthy food and eating in schools.
