CTIA voices concerns about FCC's free-wireless plan

In an ex parte filing, CTIA-The Wireless Association® criticized the FCC's plan to provide free wireless-broadband service in the AWS-2 and AWS-3 bands as irresponsible because the H block and AWS-3 transmissions "will cause harmful interference to adjacent broadband PCS and AWS-1 operations." The FCC delayed consideration of the plan to auction off the spectrum under the proviso that the winner provide broadband service to most of the country within 10 years.
