Bank of Tokyo to pay New York state fine over wire transfers

Deleted information on US$100 billion in wire transfers related to transactions with problematic countries and entities such as Iran is costing the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ US$250 million. That's the penalty payout the bank has agreed to with New York state. The bank is accused of stripping information from the transfers that would have flagged them for review.
