BoE's King advocates for stimulus

Mervyn King, in his last speech as governor of the Bank of England, has called for additional stimulus to boost the economy. "It is too soon to say the job of securing recovery is complete," he said. "There is a powerful case for more stimulus in the short run." King was defeated in his effort to implement more bond buying, according to minutes of the Monetary Policy Committee's June meeting.
