Don't count on room service extinction

Though some luxury hotels are doing away with room service, not all of them believe in that notion. According to Ned Barker, Grill Ventures Consulting's president and spokesman on the topic for the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the number of hotels with room service is on the rise, growing 8% between 2011 and 2012. "I don't see room service going away any time in the near future. We would lose customers if we did not have in-room dining," added David Morgan, vice president of food and beverage for Omni.
