Ill. conducts $2.2B repair, expansion project along I-90 tollway

A $2.2 billion project is underway along the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway on Interstate 90 in Illinois. Work on a 37-mile stretch of the road involves rebuilding the road, upgrading several bridges to handle the tollway's expansion, and building a cloverleaf interchange. The project's completion will result in an eight-lane road between the Kennedy Expressway and the Elgin Toll Plaza, and a six-lane road between the Elgin Toll Plaza and Interstate 39.
