Some high-school girls in Montana are spending a week of their summer break crunching numbers at Montana Tech's Create Math program -- an institute designed to help girls connect math with future careers, such as civil engineering, health care informatics and mathematics. "It's cool to see how (math) applies to real-life situations," student Eyvanna Connole said. Students will further their learning beyond the camp by taking on extended research projects.
