New platform will enhance patient-doctor interaction, remote care

Telehealth technology is being tested by Humana in Ohio to boost interaction between patients diagnosed with congestive heart failure and their doctors, and also to allow physicians to remotely monitor their patients' health. The platform, which is being offered to 450 patients in the state with Humana's Medicare Advantage coverage, is equipped with Bluetooth-enabled scales, interactive voice response and blood pressure monitors.
