Road travelers will decrease by 0.7% for July 4 holiday, AAA says

AAA predicts that the number of U.S. travelers who will take the road on Independence Day will be 34.4 million, a decrease of about 0.7% over 2012. "This projection is due to the calendar effect of one fewer day in the holiday period and economic growth that is not robust enough to offset the impact of the sequester, and the effect of the end of the payroll tax cut on American families," said Robert L. Darbelnet, AAA's president and CEO.
