Some fast-food restaurants are offering higher wages

Fast-food restaurant Moo Cluck Moo in Dearborn Heights, Mich., pays its new "culinarians" $12 an hour and boosts the rate to $14 after six months on the job, almost twice the hourly average wage at McDonald's, Glassdoor reports. "This is too hard of a job to pay minimum wage," said co-founder Harry Moorhouse. Other restaurant chains, such as Shake Shack and Chipotle, have also been praised for offering generous compensation.
