Technology innovation hampered by pressing priorities

Since the 2009 financial crisis, many financial firms have give most of their focus to consolidation, cloud technology, staff cuts and navigating new regulations. This has resulted in a lack of technology innovation because firms do not feel confident taking new risks. IT professionals must be given more freedom and need firms willing to take chances to succeed.
