White House to honor genomics researchers

Seven genomic and molecular researchers are among the 13 scientists who will receive the Open Science Champions of Change award at the White House today. The scientists are being honored for their efforts to further open the sharing of scientific data. "Open sharing of research results is a proven strategy for driving scientific change," the White House said in a statement.
