Primary care docs weigh pros, cons of working for hospitals

Primary care physicians are increasingly becoming the target of hospital recruiting efforts as the Affordable Care Act pushes forward the idea of accountable care organizations. Doctors are weighing the security of a salaried position versus losing individual control over their group of patients. "It's like the local coffee shop versus Starbucks," one Montgomery County, Md., family practice doctor said.
