Brown presses for bank consultant oversight

Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, is increasing the pressure on banking regulators to keep a closer eye on compliance consultants and adopt guidelines for them as soon as possible. In a letter to the Federal Reserve and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Brown says this "lax system undermines financial regulation at every level and puts our economy at risk."
