Unmanned mine-hunting system improves operating time

Lockheed has succeeded in improving the reliability of its new unmanned mine-hunting system for the U.S. Navy. The diesel-powered vehicle and system now has achieved a mean time between failures of 115 hours, well above its previous 45 hours and the Navy's specification of a minimum of 75 hours.
