Expert: Oklahoma bridges in dire need of improvement

The Road Information Program says Oklahoma has a higher number of structurally deficient bridges than any other state, and the urgent need to repair them was recently highlighted when a woman was killed by a chunk of concrete that fell from an overpass. Less than half a percent of the motor vehicle taxes Oklahoma collected in 2003 went into the state's transportation fund, and TRIP's Frank Moretti says a lack of funding is what's preventing the bridges from being repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
