Viking River Cruises recently announced details about its new commission policy that pays agents for the total invoice of the company's river cruises. Agents are excited about Viking's move and are wondering whether other cruise lines will follow. "As cruise lines continue to reduce what is commissionable, while increasing agents' workload, such as e-docs, online registration, online brochures, more online booking and change issues, it is refreshing to see that a cruise line values agents," said Mary Evans of A Piece of the World Travel.
